Benjamin Weiss – Partner
Ben has 17 years experience working globally in investment banking, asset management, private equity and corporate law. Through a diverse range of roles in Asia, including with Salomon Smith Barney, Macquarie Bank, Shinsei Bank, AXA, CLSA and Baker and McKenzie, Ben brings a broad set of analytical skills with a focus on investment due diligence and strategic business development. Ben has a BCom and LL.B from the University of NSW, is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and a graduate of Sydney College of Law. Ben is a Member of the CFA Institute, and the Hong Kong Society of Financial Analysts and is an Associate Member of the Law Society of NSW. Ben is also a Venture Partner for Softbank Ventures Korea, advising on the Softbank Pan Asia Fund.
Tayman Kan – Partner
Tayman started his career as a software engineer in Apple and then has 15 years of startup experience in TMT market in China. Co-founded Campus online in 1999 and merged with Code Bank and listed in HK GEM in 2001. Founded Spread Interactive in 2007 and merged with TBWA in 2011. Co-founded LongTuo Interactive and merged with Publicis group in 2013. 10 years of angel investment in China for mobile games, software, and mobile applications. Tayman has an MBA from the University of Queensland and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Hong Kong.
Yuan Zhou – Senior Advisor
Ms. Yuan Zhou has been working in the financial sector for over 20 years, especially in the fields of Foreign Exchange Management, Equity Investment of Financial Institutes, and Governance of Commercial Banks.
Zhou used to work as the Associate General Manager at Commonwealth Bank of Australia (Shanghai Branch), as the Investment Officer at World Bank, as the Managing Director at Hanfor Capital, and the Senior Consultant at Baring Private Equity Asia. Ms. Zhou is working at CreditEase as Senior Vice President and is in charge of Overseas Wealth Management Program.
Sharon Goldblatt – Associate
Sharon is an accredited CPA with various financial and business development related experience. After graduating with B.A in Economics and Accounting from Tel Aviv University, Sharon began her career with Deloitte, working as a financial auditor in various sectors and later moving to Amdocs where she analyzed strategic accounts in Latin America. In her most recent role, Sharon worked at PwC in their High-Tech Business Development division, consulting early-stage startups on business development, strategy, and marketing.
Sharon also holds an MBA from Tel Aviv University, majoring in Strategic Management
Lionel KeHan Tan – Analyst
Prior to joining CEIIF, Ke Han was a cyber security intern in Deutsche Bank Singapore, handling long-term vulnerabilities and remediation. Being active in entrepreneurship, he is awarded the National University of Singapore (NUS) Overseas College scholarship. In being finalists for innovation competitions, he and his team provided operational, marketing and FinTech solutions to DHL, Nestle and Standard Chartered respectively. Recently, his team became Champions in the Singaporean FinTech Challenge (BiZiT Festival 2017).
Ke Han is also currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering in NUS.
